Important Notes: Generative AI permitted for application preparation with caution. Fellowship cannot be held concurrently with salaried position unless exceptional step-change conditions apply.

Ineligible Projects: Applications from individuals who have already achieved independence through comparable fellowship or new investigator award; project leads on UKRI grants under assessment; certain repeat applicants; PhD studentship costs; publication costs; bridge funding; costs for sponsors or mentors; large research teams; senior staff costs.

Interview Stage: Yes. Interviews expected 14 to 15 October 2026.
